In regards to the good news, Steven Mnuchin has come out and confirmed the information we have all been looking for regarding the amount of the 2nd stimulus check, who would qualify for the second stimulus check, and what the Senate is still considering. What about the Federal Unemployment Assistance Program? There has been a lot of talks around the Federal Unemployment Assistance Program and there is still a bunch of ongoing talks as well. Right now, Steven Mnuchin has stated that the Senate Republicans are going to go with a 70% wage replacement. Which essentially means that if you make under $1,500 per month then you will probably receive less than $100 per week as an added bonus to your state unemployment benefits. Just this morning alone I have been on Google searching for all the new stimulus updates. From unemployment to possible tax proposals and even breaking the stimulus package up into sections. There is so much being discussed that I doubt the entire Senate even has a clue what is going on. As of right now there is talks of trying to piecemeal the entire stimulus package to hopefully get something done. Even though there are talks of this, Nancy Pelosi has stated that they will not piecemeal anything, we just need to get it all done for the people. If you have been waiting around for the second stimulus payments then you will need to continue to wait a little bit longer. Stimulus payments are coming via the second stimulus check and hopefully something for unemployment, but it could take a few more weeks.
