If this bill is passed, you would be able to receive the $2000 a month for a minimum of 6 months, so that means a single eligible person would receive a MINIMUM of $12000 of the 6 month period. The legislation would also make it easier everyone to get the money, including expanded methods of payment like direct deposit, paper checks or apps like Venmo, Zelle or PayPal. There is also another bill that has been proposed that will temporarily CANCEL RENT AND MORTGAGE PAYMENTS for 1 year.
