Closed-end funds usually offer the highest dividend yields and can be extremely attractive to investors versus open-end funds like ETFs. You can often buy the shares as a discount to NAV with the potential to make big returns when selling the funds. That discount to the net asset value may widen which means you could end up losing money on these investments.
